Does your family need a H.U.G?® Financial Planning

Allow us to Introduce Ourselves

We’re Frank and Sheri — always side-by-side in life and in work. Married for 41 years, we are the proud parents of three married children and the grandparents of five handsome grandsons. Our journey together has been marked by a shared passion: building strong families and helping them flourish across generations.

As the founders of Bautz Family Financial, for over 25 years, we walked with countless families through the deeply personal journey of financial planning. We launched The Family H.U.G.® — Helping bring Understanding to the Generations — out of a desire to provide something more than a typical financial service. We knew that to ensure a peaceful transfer of wealth, families needed more than strategies — they needed understanding, clarity, and trust.

With backgrounds in both finance and ministry, we bring a unique and heartfelt approach to our work. In addition to holding finance degrees, Frank earned a Doctorate in Ministry from Columbia International University, and Sheri holds a Masters in Theology and is currently a Doctoral Candidate. We've also had the honor of serving as Pastors of two churches, which deeply shaped our care for the whole person — spiritually, emotionally, and financially.

As a married couple in financial services, we carry a particular passion for the care of the entire family. We created The Family H.U.G.® as a clear, concise, and confidential plan of communication — one that honors, respects, and protects the vision of both spouses while also building lasting trust with the next generation.

The Family H.U.G.® bridges three essential levels of care:

  • The couple who has worked hard to prepare.
  • The surviving spouse who deserves peace of mind
  • The adult children who must be engaged and equipped to carry on the legacy.

As a result of The Family H.U.G.®:

  1. Both spouses are honored — knowing their hard-earned plan for their family is secure.
  2. The surviving spouse is prepared and confident.
  3. The adult children are educated and engaged.

Every estate tells a story. Our joy is in helping families tell theirs — with grace, wisdom, and purpose. We invite you to discover how The Family H.U.G.® can bring understanding to your generations and peace to your legacy.
